Sergey Kapitsa

Sergey Kapitsa is a Russian scientist, a TV presenter and an editor-in-chief for the local version of Scientific American.

Extending the renowned dynasty of Russian scientists, he works at the Kapitza Institute for Physical Problems founded by his father, Peter L. Kapitza, a Nobel laureate in physics. At present he is engaged in global population dynamics studies and is a member of the Club of Rome. He has been active in the Soviet, Russian and international science circles and is currently vice president of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Russia and president of the Eurasian Physical Society.
